Robert Pattinson Is Now a Clothing Designer
Actor, Dior model, and now clothing designer? According to a new interview with Numéro, Robert Pattinson will soon having something new to add to his résumé. When asked if he would “ever think about writing or directing,” the actor took his answer in a whole new route, sharing that there’s another place he’d rather be behind the scenes.
“I’ve started making clothes. For the last two years, I’ve been visiting producers and craftsmen. There’s already quite a few pieces,” he revealed. “I love doing it. My style is influenced by the cities I go to, sourcing fabrics and local skills.”
We’re sure the British star logs a ton of airline miles because of his multi-continental roots. Between his family in England and his work in Los Angeles, the face of Dior has a ton of inspiration to draw from.
“In Los Angeles it’s really easy to work with denim and do workwear inspired clothes. In England I look more towards wool and knitwear,” he said.
So what type of collection should we look for in the future? Will the Twilight star venture into women’s clothing, or stick to what he knows with a men’s line?
“What I do is pretty multifaceted, clothes for men and for women, things that I make with friends… But I’m not going into too much detail, I don’t want to jinx anything…” he said.
Jinx or not, it sounds like nothing will stop this passionate designer from pursuing his fashion dreams.
